"Way" Northern California Coast
Thanksgiving 2002
Part 1
8 days and 1900 miles and we never crossed a state
line (again).
That tops our last trip. Thanksgiving on
the road.
The trip started at the Grzeskiewicz home for
an early Thanksgiving feast.
Thank you Neva and Gene for a great get together.
Cousin Amber never stops having fun.
These two wore each other out in no time.
The first night was spent on the San Joaquin
river near Stockton.
This picture is at Whiskeytown Lake, National
Recreation Area near Redding, our second night.
At 8PM, deer were looking into the RV window.
At 3AM, "big" bears were rocking the RV.
One on the roof and one at the rear.
Starting the engine scared them off.
Not enough time to get pictures. Darn!
Horses were kept near the campground just north
of Trinidad, CA.
He's still likes a bottle at the end of the day.
Patrick's Point State Park has some great views
and some beautiful trees.
Crescent City has the best wooden play ground
you'll find anywhere.
We visited this park two years earlier, and said
that Jacob would like it.
Mission accomplished.
Elk are abundant near highway 101 in Redwood
National Park.
